    HUNTER TRAINING #1

Hunter Training will go over the basics of a number of hunting aspects. This course will start on the 5th of August and take place every Wednesday night for 6 consecutive weeks, and there will be one Saturday scheduled to be a range day during this time. This will be followed by a hunt with a mentor at the end of the course. This does not guarantee you'll get an animal on the hunt, but it will help teach you the skills to get out there and harvest one for yourself.

The different modules we will cover:

    Gear tips  -  August 5th

Rifle set up  -  August 12th

    Bushcraft  -  August 19th

    Navigation  -  August 26th

Rifle Handing, Shooting Techniques & Skill (range day)  -  August 30th

    Hunting techniques  -  September 2nd

    Animal preparation  -  September 9th

As interest in our Hunter Training is very high, we will be offering it to existing members of Auckland NZDA only, with a preference based on those who have been waiting the longest but there will be opportunities in the future for more members to get through next year.  The cost will be $200 per person, the hunt at the end of the course is in addition to this cost and will be discussed during the course. For the day at the range you should have your own rifle and ammunition.  Targets for the range will be included in the course. You will need a map reading compass prior to the navigation night.

If you have further queries regarding the course, please get in touch [email protected]
